I’ve just put together a special edition of Bastard Jazz radio, unfortunately without my partner-in-crime DJ Sema4 who is crazy tied up with organizing Internet Week Europe these days. I threw together kind of a Fall show, being that things are getting chilly here in Brooklyn, and orange and brown leaves are beginning to cover the long sidepaths down Ocean Parkway that I walk daily. The tunes are a little more on the somber side of things…a blend of some old downtempo classics I’ve pulled from the record vaults and some new producers I’m really feeling these days…folks like Letherette, Kill Emil, Syd The Kid, DJ Day, Scrimshire, The Sureshot Orchestra. And as a little sweetener, there’s a couple of unreleased Bastard Jazz & BSTRD Boots joints in there from the likes of Kid Loco (yes, THAT Kid Loco) and Tall Black Guy, whose “Water No Enemy” is an incredibly special tune that we’re dropping on a 7” in a few weeks.
Check out the show here…enjoy.
